hellbient: porch-sitting is my work. I play music, read, watch the street and dispense homespun wisdom to passersby. Or I would if i wasn't 3 floors up and in my underwear.

danf, do you remember when Lloyd Thaxton had a weekend talk show on KABC in the 1970s? Yeah, I was a regular caller AND he pointed out to me three-or-four times that the name Wendell had a long radio-and-TV-announcer tradition (Wendell Niles, Bill Wendell...)

No. I was on the Lloyd Thaxton after-school music show on TV once. My high school was chosen to be there once.

He was quite a clown.

Speaking of which, I was also on the local Bozo the Clown show when they did a remote from the county fair in Pomona.

(It's hell to peak in media before one's adulthood.)
