First Falwell, now -- Poland to probe if Teletubbies are gay.

What exactly would this mean? If somehow the Polish government decided Teletubbies were gay, would they ban them? How messed up is Poland, presently?

You don't need to probe very hard to see that Tinky Winky is intended to be portrayed as (stereotypically) gay. The real question is, so fucking what?

How messed up is Poland, presently?

In several categories, Poland has a higher per capita crime rate than the US (murder, burglary, and fraud, in particular) . Presumably once the Teletubby menace is taken care of, the crime rate will fall and the Poles will be at peace with one another.

I haven't even heard of teletubbies in at least a decade. I thought they were dead.

Never! My husband has a Teletubbies T-shirt that we found at this secondhand clothes shop called "The American Market" (they're actually shipping used clothes from the U.S., I gather. So weird.) - Everybody here goes nuts over it, even if they don't know teletubbies, and they mostly don't.
