My parents have a large blue spruce in their back yard next to the chicken coop, under which my father and brothers liked to pile old bicycles and assorted metal objects.

When I was visiting last summer I wandered around their five acres piled with assorted rusting beasts (I never claimed we weren't hick) and saw that the big blue spruce had latched onto a number of those old bicycle frames that had been sitting in the same spot for 30 years. Only way to free them now would be to cut the tree down.

See, I always knew the trees were out to get us. Now I have proof.

I thought this was going to be about a tree that thousands of cyclists had wrecked into over the years. Cool, though!
