MetaChat is an informal place for MeFites to touch base and post, discuss and
chatter about topics that may not belong on MetaFilter. Questions? Check the FAQ. Please note: This is important.

Like Last.Fm but for books . Anobii it's a social network to share the books you are reading, get recommendation. How about creating a Metafilter and/or Metachat group?
LibraryThing has a MetaFilter group as of last month. I never heard of aNobii, but if you wanted to start A group there and announce it (or however it's done), MetaChat generally seems to be a mite more democratic and low-key about such stuff than MeFi. I think the former's going to get more attention and traffic, though.
I did a search for an author name (not my name), and they list a book that hasn't been printed yet. I know because the damn thing is sitting on my hard drive, overdue. I think it was added to the publisher's catalog this last winter.
If the "it" in question is LibraryThing, I added one with a single click once I found the ISBN.
I meant that it doesn't add books automagically like last.fm does for music. :P
I signed up - it doesn't seem like the title search is working, so I had to manually look up the isbn (in Amazon), and then enter it. I like all the information you gave give about the book, but it would be better to have a "today's date" option on start and finish times, so I don't have to manually enter them.
