Shouldn't the trucking company be held financially responsible for the cost of the cleanup? That's something I never understand about these things.

It looks like massive pickup sticks.

dano, on a similar note I'm wondering if this place will have to pay for some water: "Monday’s blazes were the second time that crews have fought flames at the Atlantic Scrap Metal yard in the past six months." It started during a soccer game and we went out of our way on the way home to see what the hell was burning so fiercely.

Usually the company is (or rather their Insurance company) I've been on a few cleanups like this and the pay is always good. I imagine because the company is either being charged for police time or for blocking the roadway.
