Is it just me or is the world getting dumber? I loved her comment about the Shepherd's pie...I hope she said that to the woman.

As we speak, I'm eating an Eskimo Pie and drinking Dr. Pepper. No, wait, as we speak I'm on my phone to my lawyer.

So wait, the trading standards official said:

There is nothing wrong with using other names but it must be accompanied by the true name of the food.

If that just means a label like

PARADISE SLICE
almond, fruit and nut pie

I really don't see what the big deal is.

Of course it's the Mail, so I imagine this story is almost 100% bullshit (though Ivan Hancock is a real official).

So wait, this is about a trading standard (wtf is a trading standard) that pretty much wants you to give people an idea of the ingredients in the food? Sounds pretty reasonable.

Poor Baker Val! Maybe she should take a cue from those Asian tofu restaurants that serve mock-meat dishes ("Chiquen Stirfry" & "Garlic Shrympe"), and start selling Robbin' Tarts and Pair o' Dice Slices.

And how do they make Baby Oil, anyhow?
