Although I have to say, watching the game yesterday, I think I went through a pack of cigarettes and a full lexicon of obscenities.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a long, hard road. Enjoy the ride, even the bumps! I hope your game will be the series clincher.

I'm rooting for the Sabres to play the Ducks in the finals--if that happens, my friend (from Buffalo) and I will try to get out to Anaheim to catch a game.

I hate to say it and cause jinxes, but I really think, having followed the season and so on, that if we make it past the next round (Ottawa or NJ- I'm hoping for NJ), we'll be in a pretty good spot. The next round will be tough, though. Moreso if it's Ottawa. They've been one of the few teams all season to really give Buffalo a run for their money.

I'm hoping we play the Ducks, too, as my company has a bicoastal rivalry thing going there- they're the closest team to our West coast office. Last time they played we happened to all be on this coast for year-end meetings, so the company rented three suites and we all went to the game. Lots of fun. (although me and someone from the Amsterdam office spent most of it explaining hockey to the girls from London and half of the California team)
