I'm suprised this isn't on the 'Filter. It seems to be quite a big deal with a whole bunch of SciFi writers going mental about it. It's got everything. Web vs Traditional publishing Flamewar; Free Content; Science Fiction; Big Names; A catchy Title; Accusations of communism ... It's also been in the works for a whole week.

What's going on?
