AskMeCha: Ordering Framed Photos I want to order a print of a digital photo I have to send to my grandmother. Once Shutterfly would stick this in an inexpensive frame for you for less than $20, but now they will only do "custom framing" for about $40, which is ridiculous. Know anyone who still does it on the cheap? [More:]Snapfish, Zazzle, and Winkflash don't.

I found the web site for an enterprise called PhotoJo, but a few things about it (2000 copyright date, broken links) make me wary.

If I were in the U.S. I would put it in a frame myself, but since I'm not, I need everything to be done for me. Anyone have any other suggestions for a gift involving a 5x7 landscape photo?

Additionally, what are your opinions on matte or glossy? I think matte looks better.
Kodak Photo Gallery?

Why can't you do it yourself and send it to the US?

I used Send-A-Frame many years ago and was really happy with the results. I had made an original photo that I wanted to send to a friend, so I had them ship it to me first (so I could see it, and also sign it) then I mailed it to him myself.

It looks like they have a gazillion options now, so who knows, it may not even be the same company, but it's somewhere else you can check out and compare.

Thanks to you both. Youngergirl44, if I do it myself here it will be significantly more expensive and will probably arrive late.
