w00tness! Mrs. Doohickie has been accepted to grad school!!!1!! →[More:] Starting in June she'll be working on her masters of military history at Norwich University.

This month is the Perfect Storm of Education in our family: In addition to that, my son turned in his notice at Cracker Barrell because he's going back to community college fulltime for the summer prior to (hopefully) starting back at a 4-year school in the fall. And we're taking my younger son up to Kansas State next weekend for a high school sophomore weekend.

Everyone's gettin' edumucated around here but me!

That's awesome! Congrats!

I just decided that I really need to go back to grad school, so I'm in the extremely preliminary stages of starting to think about the implications, how to choose one, etc. Eep!

The more important thing is that he is finally making his own decisions. I think that was part of the problem- in trying to "guide" him along the way, we were pushing him in directions rather than him going his own direction. By us backing off he's coming to the conclusion that was already obvious to us. But there's something about experience being the better teacher I guess.
