I really need to watch Fear And Loathing again. For some reason, I'm the only person I know who actually likes it. Anyone know whether the Criterion edition is worth the extra cash?

The Criterion edition has a ton of bonus stuff, much of it really cool. If you're an HST fan (and of course you are), it's totally worth it.

What box said. You need the Criterion edition. (And I love that movie, TheDonF!)

As your attorney, I advise purchasing the Criterion edition.

I love you, BP! This is a favorite private joke between me and mr. r. Our cat, Stan, looks exactly like the HST cat. One day last fall, he managed to actually bag a bat. We were both horrified and impressed. The day after it happened, I stumbled across this picture on the interwebs. Multilevel hilarity ensued.

Someone page moonbird! I must have that shirt!!!!

Am I the only bunny who is just now finding out what the joke is? I mean, that cat macro has always made me laugh but I didn't know what was behind it.

It's a line from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - book by Hunter S. Thompson and movie starring Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie, you really should. It's like one big doped up, drunk acid trip. It's so great.

Oh, read the book. it's short, it's quick, it's nonstop hijinks and it's illustrated. Worth owning.
i would have it except i think i gave it to my brother who possibly never read it (he hates reading, ADD).
If i had it i'd send it or swap it with you.

I'm with deborah and The Pusher Robot. I just didn't want to admit that I didn't get it. And now I think I will read the book.
