Hanson actually had 3 or 4 pretty good power pop songs on one of their later albums. I didn't get around to picking it up, but I was startled when a friend a played a few songs for me before telling me who it was.

I think they worked with Matthew Sweet quite a bit on one of their recent albums. When he's on form he can really write good power pop
