words to live by →[More:]
...many of us go through life without ever acknowledging the love that we encounter every day... [now] is a good time to let people know how much you love them.
ran across this piece in my morning travels and thought i'd share it with you guys because... well, i love youall so much (no sarcasm intended).
oh sure, i have lots to gripe and complain about everyday. example: this morning i got up, and
surprise!!... whee, yay! it was snowing anvils and doorknobs again, blah. and if you know anything about the denver / boulder area this winter - well, let's just say we've had more than our fair share of snow. make that roughly 3 or 4 year's worth since christmas, actually. and because i was a dumb bunny and went out partying late last night, and didn't get in until about 2am, of course i overslept, missed the bus (again yay!) and had to ride the six miles to work in heavy, wet sloppy snow on my bike whilst mildly hungover.
but you know, the bike path was smooth and silent, and it looked like a japanese garden. there were robins and red finches chattering and singing in the brush. the snow made everything peaceful and pretty and my just-tuned bike rolled along like a magic carpet.
and the reason i was out so late last night was to hang with my pals in denver, whom i've not spent much time with recently. there's nothing better than the comraderie of a diverse fun group of kind, intelligent people. and by this declaration i include both my denver posse and the MeCha bunnies.
so anyway what i'm rambling about here, for all'yall that i know, and for all the new faces i've seen around this site lately: spread love.
yea, i know, i'm supposed to be wearing my genX cynicism body armour with the chains and spikes and all. i don't mean to sound all pollyanna quasi-christian hurf durf hippie existentialist, but honestly, if you work to increase love, i have found it truly does reciprocate.
