See Jonathan Hodgeman published his book, The Areas Of My Expertise, which includes many chapters on matters hobo, including a list of 700 hobo names. Then a recording a Hodgeman reading this list, with Jonathan Coulton playing guitar in the background hit the internet and was a minor fad. Artist Ape Lad put together a thing to draw each of the 700 hobos, and this itself was a minor internet fad. Then he recently decided to make it an even 1000, and offered to draw your hobo and mail it to you on a postcard for the bargin basement price of $10.

I got in on the deal just before it was posted to BoingBoing, so I got in early.
