Have captcha fonts evolved to being totally unreadable? I tried to find a reputable clearinghouse on the state-of-the-art of captcha fonts without much success. Anyone know of one?
While I don't know about any site that talks about the subject, I find rapidshare's captcha validation images quite good.

Hmm, rapidshare's captchas are the ones I find most unreadable and the reason for this post. I misread their characters at least a third of the time.

Well, you're not human a third of the time then.

Seriously, I meant good as in being hard to be computer-deciphered. Sadly, humans tend to have problems with that too.

Yeah, if people cannot decipher the characters, the font isn't very good.

What's annoying is I use those captcha fonts for my stockdump spams. And if people can't read my stockdump spams then how in hells name am I going to bump the price of this stock up.

My main beef with captchas is that some of them are case sensitive. I dread seeing P,S,X,V or O, as frequently I have no idea whether I should hit shift or not.
