We do need to do something about this and other atrocities, yet we live in an age where the USA can go to war and have not war bond drives but massive tax cuts. How does that work?

Real change requires real effort and sacrifice. But without some sort of direction for that effort and sacrifice, I'm not making either. I suspect few other people will.
