I just adore the expression in this photo series. She's got pride, humor and disgust all rolled into one. Some asshole in the comments called her a racial slur, too - they surely haven't got an inch of her talent.

I'm kind of amazed by the fact that Phoebe Cates still looks 20.

God, whoever wrote the text that goes along with the Phoebe Cates pics is clearly on some serious mind-bending drugs. Asian? She always looked like she might have some Asia in her DNA, nothing new there. And considering she's in her 40s, she looks pretty damn good. She's also apparently not wearing gobs of makeup, which is probably a good thing.

Ahh, I see that that the writer saw the error of his/her/its ways. Still, pretty much a dick move to release verbiage like that to begin with.

I agree with one half of your statement.

You should see the Queen in person. She shops in my store on occasion when she's on the East Coast. The first time I saw her, she was wearing a gray velour "leisure" suit - just matching jacket and pants. Her hair was pulled back, and she wore a baseball type cap. She had very little if any makeup on, very little jewelry, no entourage. She was beautiful. I had heard she was shopping there in the past, so I rather timidly went up to her and asked her if she was who I thought she was. She admitted it in a very sweet, soft, pleasant voice, at which point I turned into mush. She gave me an autograph. I've seen her a couple of times since, and she's still beautiful. Way, way better than in that picture.
