My corner store has for some reason started stocking European snacks, including this one, which is quite tasty. I also just love saying 'I got us a coupla drifters to eat.' I just hope the house isn't bugged. [More:] I had a similar experience when I bout a cool formica coffee table at Goodwill years back. It was too tall for the couch, so I called Rob the EMT to come fix it. He said 'I'll be over with a hacksaw to cut off the legs.' Another Wiretap Moment,as I like to call them.
"I didn't know him officer, he was just one of them drifters."

I have to try out one of those chocolate drifters. Wonder if they have chocolate hookers? Oh. Wait. Yeah.

The use of past tense in your link freaksfreaked me out.

This package contained two thin bars... and each bar was a light wafer coated with caramel and then with chocolate. The wafers gave a mild crunch, and the caramel was tasty and chewy.

It's ambiguous: does it mean the review was written after eating the Drifter, or does it mean that the candy now isn't packaged like that, nor does it taste like that?

frecklefaerie: I'm assuming the former, because the drifter on my desk is indeed packaged just like that. The drifter mouldering on the porch, that's a whole other story...

Chocolate is rich in antioxidants. That makes it so easy to overlook everything else.

I love snacks. All snacks, foreign and domestic. Last year in London I bought chocolate covered biscuits for the hotel room every night. I was the only one that liked them, shame. The same cookies in the US are seven dollars a box!

I would kill for something snack-y like Poppycock or Fiddle Faddle or salt and vinegar chips. I don't usually bring snacks into the house. I lack self-control. Even a box of Nature Valley granola bars don't stand a chance of lasting more than a day or two. It took every bone in my body not to scarf down the entire pan of brownies tonight. I made them for the kids.

I think I'll make myself a cup of tea. That should be satisfying.

/Not.

mmm...fiddle faddle is really good, I haven't had that in years. Yeah I can't bring goodies into the house either so I just eat them outside. ;)

I eat them in the store and let the clerk scan the empty bags.
