Is this for real? You would think that bright pink color would make them ripe for plucking. I've never seen such a thing. Awesome if it's real.

And very beautiful. Maybe they taste horrible to predators.

The leaf pictured in the original link contains some kind of mold/disease/rot that is a dark magenta/maroon color. Perhaps camouflage is part of the reason why this color become viable?
