If you could post anything in the Mefi blue right now, what would you post?
I would post a link to MetaTalk with a snide remark about how I haven't been reading MetaFilter. Although I did read a weird MetaTalk thread earlier that endWell linked to in EyeAreSea. Good to see people are still flaming out in stellar fashion over there.
fenriq, pretty sure the post still shows up as marked favorited in the in the personal counts. IIRC I've both favorited comments and have been favorited in treats that get shut down, yet they still show up in the profile pages
I have a couple of things in my back pocket (I had considered posting about the Andy Richter webisodes, and am glad somebody did), but I don't know if I have the nerve to use this one: Shut Up Tape.
David's Bridal new "Dream Your Wedding" thing, where you can dress up cartoon versions of your wedding party in the stuff they sell. I had a ball the other day making up ugly weddings for my sister.
I had wanted to post about the recreation of the London gallery where John and Yoko met--which was run by mdn's uncle, but I thought it would be better to ask her first if it was ok with her if I did and I never got around to it. The exhibit is now closed.
I'm apprehensive about posting anything in the blue. I did find a couple websites and articles that are interesting regarding the coffee cherry. The coffee cherry is the fruit that covers the coffee bean. Workers that pick coffee cherry and handle the cherry have unusually unlined, youthful hands. Dermatologists and the skincare industry have wanted to use the coffee cherry, but it ferments very quickly and is very unstable. Now they've finally found a way to stabilize the coffee cherry extract and it's the next big thing in skin care and cosmetic dermatology. Dermatologists say it's 20 times better than pomengranite, green tea, or any other natural antioxidant out there. Coffee growers will now be able to sell the fruit for profit, instead of just the bean. Scientists have studied the coffee cherry and tumor inhibition with some promising results.
I decided not to post it, because most of it focuses around prevention and treatment of wrinkles, and I thought it wouldn't be well received.
I'd post something about how the new generation of ultrasonic electric toothbrushes is sweeping clean below the gumline, but only for the wealthy, privileged few.
