Is it nice out ALL OVER THE WORLD? No posts for over 4 hours? Is everyone okay? Heh.
It's nice here, that's for sure. After I leave work in a half-hour, the plan is to buy a big fat sandwich, take it to the park and sit and read until the sun goes down.
It's beautiful here. We went for a great long walk. You can hear the hum of the lawn mowers, kids playing, the grills cooking. My dreams are made of these days.
It's pleasant here: sunny and a little chilly. We got coffee and walked around our park, watching all the dogs play (there's a small dog enclosure and I swear there were like 50 dogs in there, tearing around like maniacs) then sat in the sun and looked at the barges going up and down the East River.
I had a feeling people were getting outside. I did this morning...Soph and I washed Jen's vehicle and cleaned it out too. I don't think Jen even knows yet. Should make for a nice surprise on a Monday morning.
Later tonight, I get to go check out the trio that Jen's been singing with lately. I haven't heard them at all yet, so I am quite eagerly looking forward to this!
I do feel bad for ordering pizza for tonight's dinner. I am exhausted from staying out late last night. Isn't Sunday the day you're supposed to make a pot roast or fry a chicken?
I am making pot roast, LoriFLA. And it's turned into a lovely afternoon, if a bit cool, after a cloudy morning, here in Jax. Washed the dog and trimmed him up, too. He's feeling all pretty boy vain, now, and wanting to wear his red kerchief, and get extra treats for putting up with nail clipping, etc.
I've got you all beat. I made Beef Wellington tonight. mmmm beef tenderloin covered in sauteed mushrooms, onions, and chopped ham then wrapped in pastry dough. I wish you were here, it was delicious!!
I've been sick and asleep all day. It's been the nicest weather of the year and I've only been outside twice all weekend. I feel like I've watched 100 movies and every CSI episode. And I keep having nightmares based on the stuff I've been watching on TV - the wolves from the Chronicles of Narnia were after me, people were getting stabbed with scissors. I hate germs.
Feel better yg44. Nice here today too - we yanked up the dead stuff from our echinacea last year & our bee balm is already all over the place. Taking the dogs outside is cool this time of year too before it gets too hot - they get all daydreamy and blink real lazy like before they remember they are out there to pee.
