Saturday afternoon here, a beautiful day, washing drying on the line.

I'm having a new bathroom, and I've been looking at tile today. Dear God, the more I look, the more confused I am. The bathroom is tiny, so I'm ditching the tub, which I never use to soak in anyway, just to stand in for the shower, and I'm having a nice big shower instead.

I still have the original 1960s yellow fittings, which are vile, so I'm going for plain white fittings, with, I think, beige marble tile. The room doesn't get much light, so I want light tile, but not white or it'll be too cold. Something similar to this.

And, soon, the football is on, so I'm going to veg out in front of the TV for a while.

I am relaxing today, until my guitar lesson at least. The girls slept over at Jen's parents' last night, so we got a good sleep in, until Jen took off to meet them at the pool for swimming lessons, and I went to the grocery store.

I came home to post swimming girls, and in-laws. It wasn't too bad, and now, I am transferring some pictures from the phone, while drinking some organic lemon green tea. It's a new tea for me, and so far, I like it.

Yup, that's about it.

Oh, and Jan? That shower looks really nice...Very inviting.

jan, nice shower! I love to pick out tile and stuff. It's exciting. Husband and I are thinking of redoing our kitchen, but it's a small fortune. We have to psych ourselves up.

This morning my sister came over for a visit with her nephew. The kids played outside. Sister and I chattted, bought a couple concert tickets online, and I finished up son's costume for a birthday part this afternoon. Then we all went to K-mart to buy a gift for the birthday girl because I am last minute like that.

Now I am vegging a bit, doing some laundry, playing on the computer.

"I'm now the family IT guy."

Heh, you're doing better than I did. I couldn't even explain to my parents why a Dean's List student in Computer Science knew virtually nothing about Windows. That has changed now, but back then, whew!

Lazy morning, stayed in bed late (till 10). Futzing around on computer and eating yogurt for now... gearing up to go back to my office to work on The Freelance Project that Wouldn't Die (it's been going on for a fricken-fracken YEAR!) for several hours, then go into Hollywood to Amoeba Records to return a cd I got last week that won't play. Once I'm there, I may go to a movie at Arclight (best cinemas in town, right next to the best record store in town, which makes the corner of Sunset and Vine a little bit of L.A. heaven for me).

I don't want to rain on your parade, Lentrohamsanin, but you'll live to regret having offered tech help. The calls will never cease and no matter how many times you tell them they must [x], they'll [y].

.. and then they'll insist that they did [x] just like you told them to. It must be something you told them to do wrong.
