Very cool TheDonF. When the Space Shuttle lands at Cape Canaveral we hear the boom. The entire house shakes.

Ha ha! Does that mean you have that as part of your collection?

It's one of the greatest slushy 80s Old School songs ever.

Indeed so. The vid doesn't appear to be on YouTube, which is annoying, I'd to see that again.

Schack-a-lack (NSFW but fairly mild and contains scenes of stupidity).

LoriFLA: living near Cape Canaveral must be both cool and scary.

Ha, that was funny TheDonF. I don't know why but these type of videos always crack me up, unless I think that the person is hurt, then I get all "that's not funny!"

Yeah, living by the Cape is pretty cool. It's about an hour's drive though. Sometimes we drive down to watch the shuttle launch. My grandfather was the president of the Southeast Plumbers Union when the Kennedy Space Center was built and completed. We have a few pictures of my grandfather shaking JFK's hand. It's no big deal, but our family thinks its cool. My dad worked at the Cape when they were modifying the Vehicle Assembly Building. On his lunch breaks he would fish, and he saw a submarine surface. Some people don't believe me, but my daddy don't lie. :)

LoriFLA - BoringPostcards is a self confessed "space nut" - he's got some pictures on his Flickr account from, IIRC, a shuttle launch he was at.

Shaking JFK's hand must've been pretty cool, as is watching and working with the Shuttles. The nearest the UK has come to anything like that is managing to lose a couple of robot things on Mars. Several times.

I will have to check out BP's photos out. I am sure they are fantastic! Here's a couple amateur photos we took at the Discovery launch, July 4, 2006.

...Southeast Plumbers Union when the Kennedy Space Center was built... This may not be the correct name, it was some plumber's union though. :)

Cool! I looks like it's coming out of the water. I'd love to see that live. Oh well...

Cool. I don't know I've ever heard one live.
