FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK I missed my flight and when I called the hotel at the airport to let them know I'd be coming in tomorrow, they said they had no record of me. When I came home, it turned out that I had forgotten to reschedule when I decided not to take the train-- a roundtrip roomette would have been $800+ . I'm really upset about this--Atlanta is one of my favorite cities, I'd been looking forward to seeing people I know and I had been planning to roadtrip through Georgia and the Carolinas after AWP (writers' convention) was over.

Yeah, I decided to just pack it in...space sells out early at the hotels where there's a convention--I'd made my reservation in August. I'm not sure why I made it for two days ago...last year it was in Austin and overlapped with SXSW, so I came a week early then to sightsee and escape the madness. Maybe it's better that I'm here; work needs to get started with the kitchen and the issues with the designer haven't been resolved yet, one of them being that I don't want her showing up at my place every single day--especially since she was padding the storage bills for the woodwork.
