This is St. Anthony resisting the temptations of the devil Mara from a series of weird cross cultural Golden Legend lino cut prints I did some years back.
Recently, I was rummaging through some of my grandfather's old stuff and came across a really cool wallet, which I appropriated for myself. Inside were tons of credit cards and other consumer-type cards, all at least forty years old. So I'm making a shadowbox display of them to hang in my office/computer room at the new house.
well... um. i guess i didn't 'make' the subject of this photo, but I did 'make' the processing flow in photoshop. i dont use script flows for my faux-vintage-destructo photos, i just use lots and lots of layers and it usually takes about an hour or so before i'm satisfied with them. i shot the original capture with my little compact olympus point-n-shoot 5mp digicam; the goal was to make it look antique or something.
(oh yeah this is gothic peak near crested butte in west/central colorado)
so, i guess in a sense i 'made' the picture. i used to paint and draw and do all sorts of craft things but i quit years ago. photography is kind of my artistic outlet these days:
I'm trying to find a back up cd that has pictures of some quilts I've made on it. I thought I had a quilts directory on fbk but I apparently took it down. I'll try to get the camera out and take pictures of the curtains and quilt I'm working on now.
Something I made..how about a terraced hillside? It is not perfectly level but I thought it turned out pretty well since it was the first time I had tried to do this and I did it by eye rather than spending the extra time to make it truly level. It was just steep enough to be a pain in the ass to mow and water washed trenches in the hill. This eliminated both problems and now is full of butterfly bushes, butterfly weed, asters, rose of sharon and other various things that draw bees and butterflies by the zillions. I need to do something about the concrete "driveway" in the middle. It was needed but looks terrible. I had leftover concrete after a job we were working on and that seemed a good use of it. Oh well.
This is my tube guitar amp. It's a clone of the Fender "Tweed" Deluxe, which uses the 5E3 circuit. It uses 6V6 tubes. I built it myself using a barebone parts kit and finding the rest of it myself. It's one of the nicest-playing amps I've ever used.
Wow, people's stuff looks nice. I humbly offer two of the very few knitted projects I've actually finished:

A poncho and a one-piece shoulder wrap. I don't have pictures of the ponchos I made for my sister-in-law and niece, or the scarves I've made for my mom and other sister-in-law.
And just because I'm a shameless attention whore, this:
WolfDaddy, I can see why. I saved that picture from 198something, just because it was too hot to toss out. He was the SoloFlex spokesmodel, then. I was so happy to be able to use it during an art course. Glad to give you a memory thrill!
