I don't think it's possible to not bring down the house singing that song. If I were any of the other contestants, I would have had a huge diva fight- "Oh no, she ain't singing that song!! Hell to the no!"

Honestly, the vocals had some weak moments in the middle- sounds like they could have done the song a step or two higher.

Haven't started watching AI yet this season- I can't focus until there's 12 people or less.

I just watched this on TV (Friday night is Idol night in the UK), I thought she was great.

I hope she doesn't make the same mistake Mandisa made last year and try to prosletyse - that was a huge mistake on Mandisa's part and probably alienated a lot of voters. As a result she went out of the competition too early.

I think she and that Jack Osbourne/Hurley lookin' dude are so good that they both should leave the show (voluntarily) before it gets down to the final 12 and they are roped into the AI "promotional" machine. It's not even a contest in my mind.
