Oh wow. I've been wanting to make thin mints for years, and every January I wonder why no one besides Girl Scouts ever makes them. You've made them from this recipe, lfr? My son will be your bff if I make these!
yes ico, i have indeed made them from the recipe and they are fabulous. i really dig that she uses all-natural ingredients, especially since my SO is a major whole foods crusader. i mean, he loves junk food as much as the next dude, but he at least insists his junk food be made with organic chocolate and whole wheat flour :]
if y'all do post this on the metachat recipe blog, i want to credit the origin tho, since i didn't come up with it, i merely stole found it on the recipes101 blog. i use a couple more drops of peppermint oil than she calls for but thats because i love, love, luuuuuurve peppermint and could eat peppermint altoids like candy.
beware, this recipe is both messy and addictive. it's also simpler than it seems. putting the finished cookies on a rack and pouring the coating on is much, much easier, but much, much messier (and requires quite a bit more chocolate sauce) than dipping them.

What a totally wonderful website, I love it. Usually I can't be bothered to find different music genres, but this makes it easy. Although the 'disco' selection is a bit limited. It wasn't just the Bee Gees you know.
