/should have student loan paid off by the end of the year. Credit card debt and student loan gone in 2 years!

The interest rate on my car loan, made while I was younger with absolutely no credit history, is atrocious. I decided this month to start paying it down, since the interest payments will be almost a quarter the cost of the car by the time I'm done paying them! I think I'm going to save up money for my next car, rather than take a loan, which means I'll be driving this car for at least 10 years!

I'll share my horror story. Years ago when my credit was wreaked I needed a car and wound up paying 25.88% interest. It effectively doubled the cost of the car.

I hope it's not that bad for you.
