yay for crazy weather!→[More:]
It is going to be 66 today. Last week we had highs in the twenties most days. Cray-zee. And around or above sixty through Saturday and then we have a chance of severe thunderstorms. Yay! Okay now I go get lunch.
My outdoor thermometer is reading 57 degrees right now. The sun is coming and going, the birds are singing like it's spring, there are shoots coming up in my gardens. But it's not supposed to last. This certainly beats the 11 degrees and windchills below zero of last week.
18 degrees? Man, don't I wish. I had to get special salt since the bag I had wouldn't work to melt anything in negative temperatures! (hence the 10" slab of ice that so far has brused the bottoms of me and five of my friends! Somehow my roommate has managed to pass by without incident.)
I shouldn't complain, though. We had such a mild winter so far that a shovel wasn't even necessary until last week... at which point I had to go to ten stores before I found one. And the only one I found is too long for my just shy of 6' roommate, which means short little me won't be shoveling this winter.
