oh noodles! [More:]

I'm stuck on a conference call about shipping software and my head feels sorta throbby this morning.

Noodles.

what do you like with yours?
omg! My husband makes beef or pork in the pressure cooker with a large chopped onion, a couple of chopped green peppers, and oregano (plus salt and pepper). The meat shreds and the vegetables make a thick, soupy sauce, and I adore it over handmade country noodles.

It's sooooo good. I'm going to have to make him cook it up this week. Le swoon!

My favorite student meal that I still eat sometimes

Ground beef, cooked up with lots and lots of ginger, dump in a load of stock and ramen noodles and a bunch of frozen peas. Add red pepper flakes.

I ate this all the time in college. YUM!

1 packet of Oriental style noodles
4 Slices of Bacon chopped
A Few Chopped Green Onions (optional)
1 Dash of Worcestershire sauce


BLEAH!

I make ramen with:
-steamed mustard greens
-garlic
-ginger
-toasted sesame oil
-cayenne
(toss the packet in the garbage)

And taz, that sounds amazing!

taz, that does sound wonderful.

my roommate makes this fantastic beef bowtie dish that incorporates lots of cloves and pickling spice. it's an old recipe of his mom's. I'll look it up when I get home and post it here. It'd work with egg noodles or dumplings just as well.

I like sauerbraten with spätzle, or sometimes, egg noodles, and red cabbage fixed the German way as a side.
