Mashup: MetaChat through Flickr... You may have to go to yahoo first for this link to work. This is still in beta and far from what I would call perfect, but it's still fun.
hm, that's pretty cool. I originally thought pipes was just some aggregator but i guess it's there's more to it than that.

I'm confusled - what does this do?

"What does it do?"

The module I "designed" takes the RSS feed from MeChat, extracts a keyword or phrase from each entry, and then searches Flickr for each keyword.

Can you control how it picks a key word? That's what I don't get....

I'm so glad other people don't get it. My thoughts looking at it ran like this:

whaaa? what is this the pipes? what is happening now? clones? where did it choose these pictures from?

I just discovered this thing today, so I am just as new to it as anyone else. Basically, Yahoo is trying to build a mashup generator for dummies, but I do not get a warm feeling that the developers have much experience developing scripting languages. Hell, you can't even collate two input streams.

Anyway, my first module (above) is a series of pictures pulled from Flickr based on keywords that Pipes pulled from the RSS feed.

Damn I can't get this thing to run on any of 4 machines. Maybe something in my firewall.
