I carried an avocado in my pocket today Because I didn't want it to get smashed in my backpack, and I didn't want to carry a separate grocery bag. It survived the commute well, and soon it will be part of my lunch.

If it had gotten squished you could have filled the other pocket with salsa and gotten work as a human comdiment tray.

Remember the part in "The Rock" where Nicolas Cage puts the ridiculously fragile Ball O' Death (which, earlier in the movie, broke just by rolling gently into a wall) into his breast pocket? And then fights one of the bad guys, who slams Nicolas's body into the ground and other obstacles repeatedly? And the Ball O' Death is remarkably unbroken for long enough for him to feed it to the bad guy?

Yeah, that was dumb.

I was on my way to Shelbyville, which was called Morganville in those days, to get a new heel for my shoe! I had an onion in my belt, which was the style at the time.
