I got a job! →[More:]After nearly three months of unemployment, I finally found a great job as the second in command of the new media department of Roadrunner Records. Don't know much about metal, I've never worked at a mostly-independent company owned by a major label, but this job's going to kick ass.

They're paying me well, the people seem really awesome, and my direct boss is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I start Monday. Yay!

I ♥ Roadrunner! They carry many (many!) great bands, most notably Opeth.

Thanks mike. I'm not a total neophyte, but I could probably use a go-to person when I'm too embarrassed to ask at work. I don't know what access to shwag I'll have yet, but y'know, I'll see what I can do.

What I've found funny so far about Roadrunner is the reaction from people familiar with the label, especially metal fans. They're either in love with it, or hate its guts. They must be doing something right. I know more about their rock side (The New York Dolls, etc.) than I do about the metal side, minus Dave Mustaine, of course.
