Really? I'm with weretable - there were 2 or 3 great tracks, the rest was pretty forgettable. I saw them live on that tour and they were stunning, although there's something inherently wrong with Reznor standing at the front of the stage shaking a tambourine.
The new live DVD (out late Feb) should be cool as well.
I didn't like With Teeth at all until I listened to it with a $200 pair of headphones. Then I enjoyed it for its production, but that's about it--the songs seemed mainly derivative of tracks from earlier albums, with the usual Bowie influences mixed in (Diamond Dogs, and his albums from '76-'80).
Still, I'll buy this new album the week it comes out.
I loved With Teeth, and while there are some songs that don't quite come together, most of them do. I saw them on tour three times, including twice on the great small-cities, small-venues tour, where I got within touching-the-bouncers distance.
I had never seen him on tour in the early days, only on the DVDs. I think it's great that he's sober and the songs spoke to me about coming to terms with getting older and such.
Too bad (for me) he's overseas all year ... the band is really good right now, if you ask me.
