One more reason to hate daylight savings time→[More:]Did you know that, starting this year, we now spring forward in MARCH, and fall back in NOVEMBER? And -- shades of Y2K! -- many computers aren't ready for it??
I can't really feel too much sympathy for people who use computers and don't have their clocks set automagically using NTP. It's not that difficult, people.
I have an alarm clock that springs forward/falls back automatically, but based on a set of onboard instructions not a signal picked up from somewhere. That means it's going to have a problem with this every year until it breaks down. Fuckadoodle.
The company the mister works for is all in a tizzie. There are several hundred (maybe even thousands) of computers to be updated. The person that is supposed to be working on it is having serious medical difficulties and they don't know when she'll be back. I'm not sure of the status of the project, I'll have to get an update.
God, I wish we had daylight savings here - because we have no twilight or dusk or anything, it is completely dark before 7pm even in summer and that is ridiculous, given that it is full sunlight by 4am.
