Hows your gmail? - mine just told me I couldn't send mail since You are currently using 2803 MB (100%) of your 2811 MB. Oops! Already?→[More:] proof that I talk a lot, I deleted sent mail and got "You are currently using 1966 MB (70%) of your 2811 MB.". Sheesh, and I thought I'd never fill that thing. Surpise!

beats me really, a mailinglist or three, some elerts, and then conversations with friends. If you have the space, you'll use it, clearly!

Wow, I've only got 1GB on Yahoo, and it hovers around 7 to 10 percent full. (But then I hate keeping old email.)

Hehe...whoa. Do you save every email, dabitch? I email myself stuff like passwords and important links and whatnot, and I never delete those, but that constitutes about 7 or 8 total emails in my inbox. I'm a compulsive deleter.

I'm at 22%, and I thought I was too full. I delete stuff with useless attachments, and most mail-list stuff, since I can search the list archives.

Empty your spam folder and deleted items.
It sounds like there's something wrong so it may be worth getting in touch with google.

Also, if you click into "All Mail" how many messages does it say there are. I'm running at about 5,000 with the same number of messages in my spam folder and 12,000 in my deleted folder and I'm only on about 10% of usage.

Yeah, I topped out the account we use for Outof5 awhile back. Collecting 10 mp3s a week will do that for ya.

3%, and I've had the account since ~a month after gmail was available to everybody, but I cull with ruthless efficiency. Habit left over from the limited disc space days. Old habits.

Big attachments will chew up Gmail storage space fast; in my work account I have about half as many messages as seanyboy but am at 20% rather than 10%, which I'm guessing is because a lot of the messages I've kept have big honkin' reports, spreadsheets, etc. attached. (And of course, as me3dia points out, mp3s'll do it too, even quicker.)

That's after I saw it was at 9% and emptied the trash. I have saved (All Mail) 134 messages. Mostly stuff from here.

I average some where around 15-20%, but that is each on several accounts so if I just used one I'd be in trouble.

Yay, and all 2803 of that sortable and data-mineable by Google. Call me paranoid, but I don't trust Messers Brin and Page that much, espcially after they hired all those Microsoft people.

Currently using 84 MB (3%) of my 2811 MB (896 messages). I have had an account since the days when you had to know someone really important to get one.

And I never, ever delete anything. Clearly, dabitch is the most popular person here.

ha! No, I think it's my habit of saving work stuff in there, spreadsheets and crap can become so large after a while. Now I regret deleting the sent stuff though. arrgh. I should've just invited myself 99 more times and opened more accounts. I NEED MORE SPACE DAMMIT!
