Naked Harry Potter -- New semi-nakedpromo-shots of Daniel Radcliffe, appearing in a revival of Peter Shaffer's play Equus have some Potter fans concerned, while others are impressed.
It creeps me out. Although, I am happy for all the girls that have grown up reading the Potter books, seeing the movies and who can fully appreciate him being all nipply and pubey in public.
* The bathtub scene with Myrtle in the last movie really creeped me the hell out too.
So yes, while I can see that he's turning out to be a strapping young guy. I'm 33 and I just cannot find him sexy.
fbk - my college rented out a whole theater for that movie, and provided subsudized tickets. You can imagine my dismay when 100+ college girls simultaneously whistled and howled at that scene. Yeah, he's hot, but my guy friends would call that "jail bait".
'We as parents feel Daniel should not appear nude. Our nine-year-old son looks up to him as a role model. We are very disappointed and will avoid the future movies he makes.'
Wolfdog, know what the worst part about making love to a cow? Every time you want to kiss her, you have to climb off the stool and go all the way around to her front.
The problem with that limerick is that it won't work in my southern English accent, unless I do a Lady in Red.
Back on-topic, I must admit I'm getting some very confusing feelings about those pictures. I think I might have to go and see this. Because of the art and stuff.
Heh. While I was at community college, they did Equus starring a jock I'd known from high school. I was weirded out during the nude scene even though I had probably run into him in the gym showers and such.
Btw, he was funny as hell in this week's episode of Extras.
He was! Appearing on Extras automatically raises a celebrity in my esteem.
According to IMDB, he's only jailbait for a few more months--and already perfectly legal in many US states. He was born just after my high school graduation.
I don't find him attractive in a sexual way (not a bad looking guy, though). He does look ..I guess the word is "elegant" in an artsy way in the photos. And bravo for him to expand his acting wings.
Besides being interesting, and art, I actually think it's a very smart career move on his part specifically because of the nudity and the extreme nature of the storyline. Young, or even much older, actors who become very, very identified with a certain character have an uphill struggle after that role is behind them. I think this really opens things up for him whoah! punny! because it's "shocking" and memorable enough to be included in a mental resume. Casting directors now aren't only going to have only the looming image of "Harry Potter" in their heads when they think about casting him.
They're going to have the image of a naked Harry Potter! /jk
