Yeah, NPR talked about it this morning as well too. My first reaction was, Wow! Old story! But then there was the second near death experience to report.
If I were the hunter, though, I probably would have finished the job rather than taking it to the vet.
This is the first I have seen of this. Of course I want the duck to survive and have a great rest of its life (after what it went through) but I wonder if that guy will ever hunt again.
Plus, is it normal to put a duck in the fridge without dressing it out or plucking it first? It seems strange but then again I have never hunted.
