emcee squared new update →[More:]

#1: taz, dano, ethylene, boringpostcards, auntbunny, freudian slipper, and iconomy are done!

cortex and shane are working on theirs.

#2 lorifla, citrusfreak, appidydafoo, youngergirl and arse_hat are done!

doohickie has taken taken deborah's place and he and muddgirl are working on theirs.

agropyron and box haven't received their squares yet.

My hat's off to EVERYBODY who took a corner square. My plain old one-sided join was crazy enough to make work.

I've worked on mine some. I have a concept I'm not entirely happy with, but I think it will sort itself out with a little more work. I really need to get something better than the standard Microsoft stuff (Paint, Photo Editor, Picture Manager). But for this time around, I think I'll be able to get something that's fairly acceptable.

I'm actually kind of wishing I didn't have as much info as I do for the corner—a 15px stripe on the top and the right would have been more of a traditional emcee challenge, and I like weird constraints like that. As it is, I feel compelled to work in themes from both of the full frames. Fun, but not as much Ooh Mystery to it.

I cheated and used PS because my MS Paint skills are beyond decrepit... hopefully my square doesn't look too out of place... I tried to blend as much as I could. I thought the corner was a fun position to have, I'd almost presume it'd be more difficult starting with the center square sans references. I never thought filling 200px could be so enjoyable - thanks for devoting the time required to organize all of this madness, taz!

As taz mentioned, I had to give up but I'm glad Doohickie is getting a chance at it. I do think doing a regular emcee might be easier in an odd way. Like cortex said, having just the strip rather than a whole square to work from might be easier due to the lack of influence from a whole square or two.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the square versions work out.

I loved having the whole image for a change - it was fun to see how they fit together. Sort of like a sneak preview of the whole piece.

heh... Are you people waiting for more update?

Shane is going to give me his at any moment, which will complete emcee squared #1; we had a bit of a hiccup in #2 (deborah let me know well in time that she couldn't do hers this go-round, but I managed to overlook her mail for a while, so it's all me - sorry! sorry!) and so #2 will take a little more time.
