This is why it is called spam. (youtube) Wow, I just realised that the derivation of the word spam (as in junk email) is being lost. People know it is called spam, but they don't know why. See also the Wikipedia article on the same.

Not saying that *you* didn't know this. You obviously do. Just saying that an increasing number of internet users have no idea why spam is called spam.

I ..um.. knew that. Yep, I ..uh.. did.

Loved spam as a kid, wouldn't touch it today. Although I had hotdogs for dinner, so I'm not sure why I'm so anti-spam.

When I was a kid our next-door-neighbor used to make cold Spam sandwiches. Disgusting. At least heat it or fry it up a bit.
