Sascha Baron Cohen talks about how handles portraying Borat. [More:]How does he do it? When I watched the Borat movie, part of me was just wondering how on earth he can muster the gumption to act like that. What does it feel like? This interview gives some insights.
Is that his interview with Terry Gross? I heard that when it aired a few days back... he sounds so demure when he's just being himself.

"It was at best a cult film because it was so experimental, essentially this was the first time a movie was made in a real situation so that there were real people who pushed the plot forward." WTF?

"This is more acting than anyone has ever done in the history of the motion picture." ROTFLMFAO!

I guess I saw a different film. It was OK but this interview reminds me of how rock stars have always felt the need, after some big success, to put out a song lamenting the burden of fame and fortune. Think of Seger's Turn The Page (even more laughingly covered by Metallica).

Isn't that first quote more or less true? I certainly haven't seen another movie like it.

And the second quote was the interviewer, not Cohen. I cringed when it was asked, but Cohen gave a decent answer, I thought.
