This is a YAY! thread. So bazillions of brands of jeans later (even recommendations from here), I still didn't have what I liked. I thought, with all the custom stuff out there (M&M's, for cripes sake!), there's gotta be a custom jeans place. There is! They will even clone a pair you DO like! Might be old news to you cats but to this, I say, EEYAYUH!
forgot the linky love for "here".

Do you have the magic jeans yet, chewie?

I buy men's jeans. Just because of the way I'm built, they work better. This makes for very interesting jeans shopping. I go to the men's department, get an armload of jeans, then trek usually up a level and across the store to the women's dressing room, schlep back down, and repeat. Good times.

rainbaby, that's not terribly weird, I wear men's jeans as well. Ditto the schlep hike.

Somehoe custom made jeans flies in the face of the whole egalitarian ideal of bluejeans, which are supposed to be the people's pants, dammit. Although I do have a favorite pair of faded shrunk Levi's that I love since they make me look like I have an ass. Sadly they're ripped which makes them inconvenient for winter, even though they compliment the leather jacket and chucks perfectly.

Not yet rainbaby - the site says it takes 2-3 weeks. I have some Carhartt's that are unisex, does that count as men's jeans?

jonmc, wear long johns underneath.

I'm not making a case for men's jeans - my figure is far from boyish - I'm just long-waisted, I think, is the thing.

Whatever works. Jeans can be hard. Which is why it's so hard to get rid of them.

I hope your magic jeans work out!

oh wow, this is great -- I have been driven NUTS the past 3 or 4 months trying to find a replacement pair for the best jeans I've ever had in my entire freakin' life (the Gap's straight leg boy cut in indigo stretch denim, offered only for a few months earlier this year, then inexplicably discontinued), so this may be the answer to my dreams. Woo!
