Christmas pictures I took a million pictures at Christmas. As with most photos, they are probably boring to everyone but the people in them, but you might find something interesting amongst them.
I wonder if essexjan knows how much we all like her?

The woman in that photo has amazing hair, and I bet the patience of a saint waiting for it to dry.

The woman with the hair is Leah, Diane's daughter. Her husband went back to Iraq on 20 December for another tour of duty for a period "not exceeding 545 days".

I have such a story about Nancy Dawley. She is a real free spirit, a 70-year-old hippie. She and Daisy (George's mother) are unlikely friends, Daisy is a fairly staid Lutheran. Nancy is completely barking.

The day Daisy and I were there, they were talking, as old ladies like to, about people they knew who'd died. They were trying to remember the date when a particular man died, they knew it was around Christmas time but couldn't remember the date.

Nancy went to fetch her date book where she writes important things down. Then, of course, she couldn't find her glasses, so Daisy started looking through the entries for late December.

"I can't read this one, Nancy" said Daisy, "what does this say?"

Nancy, glasses found by now, put them on and peered at the book.

"First climax, 1958! Now that's something worth remembering" she proudly replied.

I almost wet my pants and was laughing so much that I didn't take a picture of the shocked expression on Daisy's face.

It took me a while to stop laughing to be able to type anything, after that story, Jan!
