02 January 2007

This weekend, I bought a leather motorcycle jacket. I've always wanted one like that and it fits me like a glove. Everyone who's seen me in it says it looks great on me. And I admit, I feel really cool when I have it on. What's your magical garment or accessory that makes you feel more cool, more badass, more hot, more..you?
My actual motorcycle, ya poser bastard. ;)

(The leather jacket is a fun article of clothing to have, though, isn't it?)

Depends. They just give me that, um, confidence that I lack sometimes.

Eide, a motorcycle is on my wish list of dream possessions. But mine would be a real bike, not some crotch rocket. ;)

(for you, though, wouldn't your baseball cap be your magic garment?)

Garment, yes. But you said accessory, so I thought maybe you meant "life accessory." T3h H4t is awesomesauce, though. I've had it just about forever.

As for the bike, well... just wait till I get this monster running.

I meant garmet and/or fashion accessory, I guess. But you do wear a nice lid, kid.

Sunglasses of course! I also feel more confident (and thinner) in high heeled shoes. I am over 6 foot in heels so I can look down on all of the little people. Ha! ;-)

The pictures, so far, of jon wearing the jacket are not for public eyes, inspiring as they are. ; )

Jeans and a t-shirt or sweater, depending on the season, are definitely the me-wear. Most skirts I've ever bought have languished in the closet with the tags still on them. (I haven't bought a skirt in a decade, I think.) My dragonfly necklace and wedding band, too. I'm not me without them.

wedding band, too.

Well, that one goes without saying, toots. ;>

It's a tough decision: My chihuahua, my martini, or my monocle.

I remember back in my college days almost getting into a fight with another guy over a girl. At the time, I thought I was just so intimidating he backed down, but later I figured it was the fact that I was wearing my fraternity letter jacket. He probably figured if he kicked my butt, I'd bring my fraterniy brothers back and repay him tenfold. (Silly him- we were a bunch of pansy-asses!)

But still, that jacket made me Da Shit.

So fraternities are kinda like collegiate biker gangs and that jacket was your colors or something? ;>

Not exactly a garment, but these rock my world.

Jeez, those are AWESOME, Fris.

They're as much a garment as my jacket or eide's ballcap. Accessories and jewelery can definitely be trademarks.

A few current faves:

- my LL Bean gumshoe moccasins. De rigueur for any serious New Englander.

- my brown Italian fisherman's sweater that Miko bought for me.

- my linenesque coat bought at a local thrift store for five whole freakin' dollars, that makes me look like a raving painter from the 19th century.

My knives, and my Bailey Bowie Fedora.

Black....but the heathered cotton tops feel a bit cozier--even though technically there's no difference between them and the solids.

My kind of elderly, battered black pea coat. I like winter clothes in general & I like the way my pea coat, which is a little too big for me, swings around. Black tights & black boots & a black short skirt & a black sweater and my black pea coat & sunglasses and I feel invincible. Also, invisible, which is just as good. ;-)

My black DKNY wool single breasted overcoat. I've been wearing variations on this same coat since I was twelve.

My new silky robe from the mister. I feel all Inara-ish in it.

PS: Fris, thanks for reminding me to get my cowboy boots reconditioned.

My denim skirt. I can't explain it, but I feel sexy in it. It's close (but not too close) to my hips, then flares out at the bottom, full length. I lovelovelove it!

Gotta go with the wedding band. We designed 'em ourselves. I still look at it when I'm driving & such.

Sexy undies, especially when I have to wear a boring black suit. Makes me feel like I have a secret.

Also, I have this long green wool coat that I get mad compliments on every time I wear it. One guy told me I looked like a supermodel in that coat. Alas, it's too warm for Arizona winters.

My black Strat.

Although the robe and wizard hat are good.

My race suit makes me feel good, because it means I am about to get a dose of speed and danger. There is nothing like a good, concentrated dose of risk to make you feel alive.

Dark red lipstick.

Deborah, you're so cool.

Me? Cool? *bewildered look*

A "Real Bike", jon? I hope you're handy with a wrench, 'cause you won't get far on something that old.
For me, it's my Tight Black Trousers and my BROOKLYN hoodie. Red, Black and white together rules! I call them my hunting colors.
