02 January 2007

First meal of 2007? Mine was a chocolate chip cookie and a Bud Light.
mine was a cheesesteak with extra-pepper jack cheese, extra bacon, and jalapenos, loaded baked potato on the side, and several Budweisers.

Steak sandwich with blue cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions on sourdough, with a pile of pasta salad on the side.

Actual meal?

10 medium wings, all drums, extra crispy, hot sauce on the side, served with celery and a side of fries. And a Coke.

From hear on out, I can only be healthier.

Orange crepes!

Hear. Here. Obviously, wings do nothing to prevent homonyms.

I had a chai latte, and eggplant and artichokes in puttanesca sauce with a tomato salad.

A leftover taco before falling asleep.
But last night a friend and I made bacon, eggs, hash browns, corned beef hash, and cinnamon rolls for dinner.
My roommate, being too sick to even go out the night before, got out of cooking and cleaning duties. He made up for it, though, by paying for our feast with grocery store gift cards he'd gotten for Christmas.

Banquet burger and fries. Woo!

Bag of Funions and TableTalk blueberry pie at the only store open after the bar New Year's eve.

(Somehow we'd neglected to have supper that night. Next year, steak!)

chicken soup, just the broth. While lying in bed.

Wow - either none of you eat breakfast, none of you class it as a meal or you're eating some bizarre stuff at strange times of the day. I had Weetabix, coffee, a pear and half a mango.

Hoppin' John, collard greens and cornbread. And yes, we had it for brunch yesterday.

Liver and onions, a big fav of mine since I was a little kid.

I didn't actually eat anything until about 6:30 last night. I woke up around 10:30, stayed in bed watching anime on the laptop till about 1:30, went to a movie and had dinner after.

Pork roast, blackeyed peas, greens and rice, followed by a piece of whipped chocolate chestnut cake. YUM! (Nope, I don't eat breakfast.)

I love breakfast food, but my first meal of the day is usually coffee and a cigarette.

We spent the day nibling on hors d' overs left from new years eve.

I woke up yesterday pretty nauseaus from all the champagne, so my first meal was the Hangover Special - a bacon burger, fries, and a diet coke from Whataburger. I'm trying to eat healthier!

Homeade chicken soup and buttered toast. I started cooking immediately upon wakening, despite the (realtively mild) hangover, and ate an hour later. So technically it was breakfast, but I ate at 1.00.

I don't really eat breakfast either.

sadly, that was my breakfast, lunch and dinner, all day yesterday.

I ate a bagel when I woke up yesterday, but I made a spinach & potato curry last night, and my roommate contributed baked tofu. It came out really well, and I think I'm going to cook more often.

First thing I ate: The corner pieces from three tombstone pizzas (they were cut into rectangle pieces) - and a bottle of champagne.

First actual meal: Refried beans with chorizo, spanish rice and cheese - all melty and wonderful.

If 2 am after coming back from new year's eve counts, Progresso canned soup.

If you mean first meal after _waking up_ on the 1st, 1ft turkey breast sandwich on subway, at 6pm.

An egg bagel with butter, scrambled eggs, and coffee. My mom, who's in from Seattle with her gentleman friend, joined us and my hubby made breakfast.

Collard greens and black-eyed peas cooked with lots of pork products, home-made macaroni and cheese, potato salad, cornbread, pumpkin cheesecake, honey-baked ham, endless mimosas, and assorted other goodies. Our brunch was well-attended and much fun. Who's coming next year?
