Ugh. I don't understand the rationale of making stores uncomfortable to be in.
→[More:]I just came from Augusta's new Circuit City, and my god what an unpleasant experience. It was
SO BRIGHT, and
SO LOUD. They had the bass cranked up so much that there was this constant dull roar under all the other noise. I couldn't stand it; I had to leave.
Now I suppose part of this is me getting old and cranky, but really, it's not that I don't love shopping -- I could have happily stayed there for over an hour browsing through the dvds -- but stores have not always been this
BRIGHT AND LOUD, I'm positive. What's the marketing motivation here? Are they trying to get me so confused I'll just buy things without looking at them? I can't think of any other reason -- surely they don't WANT me to leave without buying anything.
