23 December 2006

i remember finding the december 1969 issue hidden in a box underneath about twenty years worth of national geographics. man, i learned a lot about myself thanks to cynthia myers. seriously, this is probably one of the only positive memories i have of my teenage years.

years later, after seeing beyond the valley of the dolls for the first time and finding out that the bass player of the carrie nations was in fact the one who launched my, um, voyage of self-discovery, i was all like "heeeey, i remember you!"

It doesn't seem to go back to 1966. Boo.

Yeah it does, mats, look at the years on the very top - it's 3 years to a page. I found mine, Miss May 1963 but there's no way to link directly to her. She's about halfway down the page, with a beehive, eating an apple provocatively whilst very uncomfortably perched backwards on an armchair. Damn, though, I must say those early 60s girls had some knockers. Sheesh.

Yeah, the URLs are "rounded down" to a decade, i.e. 1960.

Apparently in the late 50s and early 60s the fashion didn't just dictate pointy bras but pointy breasts as well.

It's nice to be reminded that women were chosen (as it were) in the 60's and 70's because they actually looked attractive and not like the most recent ones who've been picked because they "could be" attractive. After makeup, lighting, filtering, photoshopping, shaving, plucking, trimming, siliconing, stairmastering, maybe a little more makeup -no,no we don't have time... we'll photoshop that in too, plastic surgery, and for god's sake, keep your mouth open.

Argh! 1981 skips from July to November! DEPRIVED!

1969 was a pretty good year for Playboy, cute ladies with beautiful boobies. Sadly, my month, September, is my least favorite of the bunch. But its nice seeing what real women look like instead of the airbrushed "perfection" in the mag today.

It would be nice to know their names too. But still a nice find!

yay for bush (the good, non-capitalized kind)

Hmm. The page was blocked as a "spy site" by my firewall. *shrugs*

I'm betting "my" Playmate is in a retirement home, assuming she's still alive. Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Yay for natural breasts of all shapes and sizes!

1972 doesn't seem to exist. Wikipedia says that PJ Lansing was the Playmate of the month for me. This "see also" link might help people.

Scody: I absolutely concur

December 1966 is pretty, has nice boobs and it's a fun photo. And I kinda said the same thing, scody, it's nice to see real boobs.

The group looked at all had pubic hair. This is a delightful novelty, as far as I am concerned.
