Well, hopefully, the blunt force trauma of the impact killed them, or at least rendered them unconscious, to then drown.

But yeah, a horrible thing for all concerned. I wonder of the print version of the Chron has it's usually jokey punning headline.

It gets possibly much worse, when you recognize that Gilroy is the Garlic Capital of the World, and that tank was filled at least partially with what I'd expect was pretty garlicky Gilroy sewage...
