For the holidays, we get a $100 gift card to a local grocery chain. We have to pay taxes on this gift card - it's considered salery, although not a bonus or profit-sharing.

On one hand, money! On the other, it's somewhat of a tax dodge for the company and it makes me feel a little uncomfortable.

Congrats Maku. . . .my aforementioned raise has made it into the system. I have had several "informants" with access to the personnel system keeping tabs. It took awhile but it is there. So first of next month, a bit extra. Which, for y'all, translates into nothing, other than I would be good for a round or two during meetups, IF.

Of course, being a public employee. .no bonuses, no pole dance parties, no nothing like that. . .

I'm in Florida and I'm going to spend my evening eating Doritos and watching TV with my parents. Yaaay family bonding time!

After several weeks sick, I feel quite a lot better!

My partner and I went Christmas shopping yesterday and giggled and hid packages all day long!

I turned in my last papers and projects for the semester, so I am DONE with school totally and officially and forever. Until January.
