Carhartt Sale! Okay, so I hope this is of interest to somebody, but, really, I just want someone to try to load the site, then tell me I'm not out of my mind. Sierra Trading Post, a place that sells closeout/irregular/etc. outdoor clothing, is having a big Carhartt sale today. I'm excited, because I've been wanting some overalls lately, which might turn out to be a horrible mistake. But the site appears to be down (crushed under the weight of all those work pants? Surely not).
It works for me. (My wife loves Sierra Trading Post!)

Yes. It is of interest to me. Good post.

I had/found a Carhartt jacket (ah, the fond memories of the warmth and all the pockets) that I used to wear all the time. My Mom hated it and tossed it when I wasn't looking.

I have been a huge Sierra Trading fan for awhile now, they are a fabulous company with awesome prices.

I was thinking of getting a Carhartt jacket but they don't seem to be small enough. Same with their pants. Why is there no girl's Carhartt?

Excellent!

I had to give up on my beloved trademark double-knee Dickies that used to last two years doing rough construction. (They're a bit hot but you can always cut out the second knee on the inside for casual wear.)

The kind of Dickies you commonly find at Kmart, at least, develop holes at the corners of the back pockets within a few months (and often sooner.) This is especially bad for someone who likes to go commando.

I'm switchin' ta Carhartt, I guess.

Damn, the really tough Carhartt pants, the double knee duck kind, aren't on sale. I can't bring myself to wear any other brand and they're usually pretty expensive.

Oh, I'm totally wrong, they are on there. $24! Woo!

Holy crap. That stuff is cheap. Fantastic - thanks, box!

My Carhartt jeans are fabulous! LT their jeans are unisex - dunno if that fills the 'girl's carhartt' bill for ya or not.

Thanks for the tip, box. I was just looking for some Carhartt stuff on Amazon, too. weird!

Working for me but whoa, 50-25% shipping surcharge + they ship UPS so $100 in brokerage and fees. Anyone in Canada want to combine an order?

Ooh, using Google Checkout saves $20. That got my per-pant price down to about $21 once shipping was added. It truly is a Thanksgiving miracle.

I'ma wearing my Carhartt jacket right now. Let's see if I can swing the funds to get something.

Thanks box.

Oh thanks for this. Dryer issues ruined some of my pants recently, and overeating took care of the rest.

Does anyone know how well this does in cold weather? I mean, is it good to 0c/32f at least? I'm really tempted to get it as my yellow cold-weather jacket is, well, yellow.

God dammit! I just bought a pair of Carhartt overalls for less-than-full-price but not at these prices.

There's a Carhartt for Women test launch right now. Nationwide launch is Fall 2007, which means clothes hit stores in May.

(Disclaimer: I work for Carhartt.)

jmozena, obviously your company needs to do a Girrrlz of Metachat beta test. Just send all cool garb to us and we will work it for you.

Wow! Hi jmozena--I'm a big fan of your work. But I've got a little favor to ask. I want Carhartt to make duck (or heavy canvas) cargo pants. They don't even have to be a new cut or anything. I promise I'll buy seven pairs (I do laundry once a week). Please please please?

No one knows about the coat?
